The village Rieux-Minervois advocating for peace.
Jesus the golden child!
The local fountain in Azille looks like you've just stepped into a cave ...first time seeing outdoor stalactites and stalagmites.
Lac de Jouarres

21 km done for a total of 4699 + 21 = 4720 km
- Day 371: July 15th: Pez to Prémian - 18 km
We made it to our goal of the day: Premian...The other 2 villages we crossed today were not providing any opportunity to find food and our last meal for lunch was quite depressing: a few loafs of bred with half a saucisson...
The trail was particularly challenging today with loads of climbing up and down on a difficult full-of-wobbly/slippery-stones ground.

Our objective today was to reach Premian where we knew we would find the only restaurant for the next 30 km. They were quite busy when we arrived: the whole village was expected to gather there this evening for a special 14th of july menu served on the 15th: stuffed mussels, Punch and fruits salad..Casey's is in heaven. The terrasse located right at the river will provide the clients with a perfect view of the fireworks their had planned for 11:30pm...We will not miss the celebrations afterall.
We left the restaurant L'esclop and its romantic lights and crossed the bridge over the Jaur river to set camp on the other bank under a tree next to a picnic table.
We missed the celebrations of the 14th of July. Luckily for us, Premian's villagers had decided to launch their firework one day later...The whole thing lasted for half an hour: very impressive for such a small remote city. We had the best seats : our pitching spot was right bellow the bouquets of colours. Perfect timing!
We then jumped in the river for a midnight bath under the stars.
